If you view that as “defending them” then I’d suggest you are misinterpreting somewhat.
I have stated there is not enough evidence and I don’t believe the FA or Liverpool have acted badly.

oops. I am new to this site. I did not know that the popular epithet beginning with 'S' to describe Liverpool FC or their players qualifies as "poor language". Fair enough. One thing I do applaud tonight is the general agreement amongst the more civilised that fudged decisions like this by the FA - where they fail to act - should NOT deter any player in the future from reporting their own racist abuse they suffer. Just because Firmino got off on a technicality that "enough" evidence was not there shouldn't mean others keeping silent.
