Holgate Racially Abused By Firmino - The Guardian

Will be nowhere to be seen in the media that.

It was a journalist who tweeted it.

Embarrassing behaviour by football fans shocker. The reality is that Football fans have an irrational loyalty to their Club and their players. Look at West Brom giving Big Cyrille a fantastic send off in which he was lauded as a pioneer against racism and then weeks later backing Rodriguez.

Liverpool fans shouldn't of chanted Suarez songs and songs about Evra being a liar but then again I am sure Firmino will be singled out for stick in the Derby. Liverpool fans will tell you they did it because they think there man was innocent, West Brom fans will do the same over Rodriguez.

When does loyalty to your Club become turning a blind eye and swallowing your principles.

Another sterling defence.

Unreal. But I do admire your sheer brass neck 'kin cheek carrying this caper on for another day.

Calm down Dave, having a calm reasoned response isn't a defence.

The problem seems to be that having a calm reasoned response and not joining in with the lynch mob mentality seems to single you out on here.

This thread seems like playing the piano when the Titanic takes a dip towards the bottom. Who gives a damn about Holgate and their barbarian whatever his name is? Watford 1 Everton 0 is what counts. Zero points from a crap Watford after a jolly in Dubai.

Exactly as a fan base we are taking our eye of the ball. We are concentrating on a racism case that has come to nothing and a debate about whether 60,70 or 80k should be our capacity.

Anything to divert from the rubbish we are being served up week in week out.

Except that didn't happen.

How brainwashed are our fan base. Next you will be telling me 39 Italians died at Heysel.
The fact is that 39 people died at Heysel and for you to judge how people interpret it is wrong.
It wasn't anything thing to do with Liverpool fans ,was it?

How would you know bud?

Unless you're a regular at Anfield???

:dodgy:

I know you don't deal in facts but from the player himself.

Former Manchester United striker Alan Smith denies Liverpool fans attacked his ambulance after Anfield horror injury
  • Liverpool beat Manchester United 1-0 in the FA Cup fifth round in 2006
  • Alan Smith suffered a broken leg and a dislocated ankle during the game
  • Reports claimed Liverpool fans attacked the ambulance with Smith in

Alan Smith has rubbished claims that Liverpool fans attacked the ambulance he was travelling to hospital in following the aftermath of his horror injury during Manchester United's FA Cup 1-0 defeat to their fierce rivals nine years ago.

Smith suffered a broken leg and a dislocated ankle while attempting to block a John Arne Riise free-kick during the fifth round clash at Anfield in February 2006.

At the time of the incident, reports circulated that Liverpool fans tried to disrupt Smith's journey to hospital by throwing bottles, beer glasses and stones at the ambulance as well as rocking the vehicle.

But Smith, who made his comeback for United seven months later, insists that was not the case.

'It didn't happen – fans were still in the ground,' he told FourFourTwo exclusively in the May edition of their magazine.

'I went back to Liverpool a few years later with Newcastle and had a great reception.

'I had loads of mail from fans after the injury, including a lot from Liverpool. And Liverpool's medical staff were great. They were worried that because there was no blood flowing that I could have had a club foot.

'It wasn't Riise's fault and he came to see me. The dislocated ankle was worse than the leg break because I snapped ligaments and there were complications.

'I knew I was never going to be the same player. I've appreciated every game I've played since that injury, I know how close I was to being finished.'

Is that enough ?

Very few regulars at Anfield can write in English so it is unlikely he is one of them. Watford 1 Everton 0 in case you missed it. What did you make of our display?

What did I make of it haha??

A standard Fat Sam away performance. No attempt to win the game. A lack of belief from our weak players. No fear of defeat. A manager who ain't arsed we got beat. A loyal away support let down yet again. A club in a very bad state with no idea who to sort it, nor the desire to work hard to do so.

The quotes dont even attribute the event.

You choose to quote the Daily Mail rather than the joint statement of both clubs.

Ashamed of nothing, offended by everything. Jog on.

I'm not really arsed mate. I'm not into the mocking of leg breaks. Nor do I pay heed to fake news publications.

More to the point, why did you bring up Heysel where innocent fans lost their lives? Bizarre behaviour.
