I think another forum member bottomed this one; at least it struck a chord with me.

It is quite likely that Firmino mouthed the offending word(s) without actually saying them.

I think this set events would accord a safe exit for those parties closest to the event who would rather not get involved. The fence sitters who can thus say, hand on heart, ‘we heard nothing’.

Perhaps one day the missing camera angle will eventually surface and prove matters either one way or the other.
