Watching it again, hard to believe that the ref didn't hear every word Firminho said....would/should have been a straight red card, and a different outcome last night....

Such a shame Kenny gets in the way of the camera's view just as Firminho said whatever it was that he said....

but their guy scored and ours was watching it on tv, and they're in the next round, so I assume they managed to deliver an improvement to their team better than our muppets did.

I'm sure he heard it and bottled the situation that's why he never booked holgate for the push or even send him off for laying hands on him. he knew full well what was said

I dont understand how anybody can claim they know what was said, whether its Portugese, English or bloody Klingon as Kenny's head was blocking the camera angle when the alleged offensive word was spoken.

I don't know what angles you all are seeing but the service I watch on (USA company) quite clearly showed it when Firmino was chest to chest with the ref and Firmino has such a big mouth it's easy to read. He used the exact same word Suarez did with the "ito" at the end.

The referee definitely heard what was said, otherwise why consult with the 4th official? He was bottling an honest reaction to what he knew was racism. Let’s see how the cult try and gloss over it.

Considering the ref's absolutely atrocious biased and inconsistent officiating last night, i am fully expecting him to say that he never heard what was said due to all the noise and shouting. He should himself be investigated for impersonating a referee.

Holgate shouldn't have pushed him, that much was clear, but straight away you know something has been said.

The fact Madley didn't book Holgate for touching the ref is another one as well.

Holgate seemed to go 'you f****** heard that' or something along those lines to Madley, who I think in fairness was probably dealing with about five situations at once.

Madley juggled five situations at once and dealt with none of them, most comically shown by the fact Davies was on the pitch in the middle wearing his yellow warm up vest and didn't get booked mate
