Holgate Racially Abused By Firmino - The Guardian

There is footage of Holgate angrily telling the referee that Firmino called him the 'N' word. So the son of a whore thing has no relevance really. Unless they find a camera angle of that exact word nothing will happen.

Exactly... @Kenshin - this has been proven with video footage of Holgate saying the word he thinks he was called. Holgate believes he was racially abused so there is no point anyone going down this whore insult line because that is quite clearly not what Holgate was angry about.

No one knows what was said when Kenny's head blocks the view which is the only important part of the whole incident in relation to racism, but I don't personally think they're going to be able to prove it one way or the other. But what would I know? I was in the A.R.E and not within close proximity of the 2 players. And neither were any of these people who have made conclusions already.

Starting to look like this is just going to be forgotten about..... Reports on it seem to blow it off as nowt. Has an investigation started yet?

Yeah no, Sorry it was just me saying from my point of view that skin colour doesnt even enter my head when a player plays well or fluffs his lines...they are simply everton players....it was a daft comment from me to make.
Fair enough mate. I should of looked a little harder at the context it was meant. I've made more then enough poorly worded posts myself over the years so can sympathize.;)

not sure it's being forgotten it's just very little can be said until the facts are known. We'll defend our player, that lot wil defend theirs and should the FA find sufficent evidence to take the mattter further they will.
Regardless of what happens next Holgate won't come out of this well.... He'll get dogs abuse from RS fans for years to come whether Firmino is guilty or not and several red top rags have already decided that he should have seen Red for the push therefore any reaction from Firmino is redundant as Holgate shouldn't have been on the pitch to recieve it.

Yeah agree with alot of what you say, would be nice to see the FA come out and say, 'we take racism v.seriously and will be launching an investigation....' (if they have then, sorry i've not seen it), shows where they stand with racism. And no matter what foul happens in a sports match, it doesn't give the all clear for racism (alledged) , the game has rules and officals to deal with foul play.

I think alot of this masks the fact that Lallana blatently dived for a penalty!!!!!!

Considering the fume after DCL "won" us ours in hte previous match, this has been pretty much forgotten about

I would have thought Allardyce would have lodged a complaint with the FA about it, considering he said he didn't think it was a pen. Retrospective action against an lfc England player because a FIFA ref fell for simulation that gained an advantage. I think the FA would want to bury it and sweep it under the carpet, but it is up to the club to stand up for the team and supporters and lodge a complaint.

Has anything been said about this?. Surely "the panel" will at least be looking at it. It makes Niasse's challenge look like GBH. What are the normal timescales for these.?

it would only go to the FA Panel consisting on Danny Murphy so it would be pointless anyway. He openly admitted it was a dive but he didn't care because Liverpool won.

Absolutely right 'Raino'. Lallana should be suspend as Niasse was, not a dicky bird about it, blatant dive. Isn't it funny how no RS comment has been made.
