Horse Racing

Ruby seems very prominent among Willie Mullins’s team when the latter runs horses in big flat handicaps.

I am guessing Ruby is serving an apprenticeship with Willie prior to taking out a trainers license when he hangs up his spurs,

My random post it note of horses I've heard are decent and I've jotted them down for some reason for the jumps season.
No idea if spelt correctly or if have already run.
Alan Kings, Kinello.
Paul Nicholls, Eritage.
Hendersons, Lisheen Castle.

What do people think about the big one this Saturday then? Will winx finally meet her match or will she prove that she really is an elite horse?

Benbatl isn't the best horse that can be sent down to tackle her but is a multiple group 1 winner and is arguably the best Winx has faced so far. So for that reason I had a cheeky each way bet earlier in the week on Benbatl at 15/2. But if I'm totally honest I see Winx seeing it through. It only takes one bad run though.

..my Cheltenham ante-post portfolio is already quite lengthy but I don’t expect to do as ridiculously well as last Spring.

Good to see the jumps season getting into swing this weekend. As usual @Golan i would have small stakes each-way on anything Peter Bowen runs at Aintree. Donald McCain is another to keep an eye on. May the power be with you in finding a winner.

think Winx will win but any EW bet on the others is a good bet (and probably an account closer)

Same, will be a bit gutted if Laurina doesn't go Mares Hurdle as got her in lots of bets.

Vinndication and Lalor are my long shots to reach the top level, both 33-1 at present for JLT and Arkle respectively.

..if you’re chucking a few names out there it’s certainly worth noting;

Canelo - Alan King mentions this one on his stable tour so he clearly likes it. Novice chaser over 2.4m-2.6m.

Eritage - 4yo, I imagine it’s a novice hurdler. It is listed as a Nichols horse.

Lisheen Castle - 3yo with J Quinn on the flat, moved to Henderson as a novice hurdler.
