Horse Racing

Would explain why I haven't seen it then !
Sake.
Davy the horse puncher was booked for the ride as usual jockey banned. Would have saw its true form.

...you might have seen my earlier post, Lalor was very impressive at Cheltenham today. Samcro is reportedly going down the champion hurdle route so it’s unlikely they will meet this season.

Can't myself see past Buveur Dair for a 3rd Champion Hurdle.

Confirmed today. Very welcome news. They're race horses, so RACE THEM!

...the top ungelded flat horses are worth an absolute fortune at stud, I think i’d be tempted to retire one if I was fortunate to own it. Enable is a lady in every sense of the word, so her stud value won’t be as great for obvious reasons.

True, but it's not like there's room in the bloodstock game for every grade 1 or classic winning colt to become a successful stud. I think that too many are retired too early. Obviously the economics of horse breeding vs racing dictate that it's worth it, it's just a great shame for the sporting side.

My concern would be that her reputation would go downhill if she had a bad season. But Gosden knows more than me and I'm sure he must be confident.
She was a late developer I think which is a plus.

@Eggs Despite the prices and a flat track, I see no reason why Mite Bite will beat Native River. Heart over head means I'll probably back Thistlecrack...what's your view?

..well you know me, I went for a little bit of value and backed Clan Des Obeaux @ 20-1 3 weeks ago. It’s certainly a race to savour and although he hasn’t run at Haydock, I think Mite Bite has his optimum conditions with a flat track and good ground.

I was just looking for a decent priced one to give me a run for my money, CDO was a write off last season because of injury.

I'm off to Haydock later, which obviously means I miss the game today. I backed Might Bite a couple of weeks ago @ 5/2. Also had 1 of Henderson's in hurdle but non runner so done my cash on that already. Perils of ante post !

I'm home on 20th December so obviously can't wait for boxing day racing.
Will be keeping a close eye on trainers in form a week or so before.
The King George. It's some race
