Horse Racing

....my portfolio is massive, I like to think I’m well covered although the Champion Hurdle and Champion Chase are races where I haven’t got value.

Name a race and I’m happy to share what I have.
I have a lot covered too, some at fancy prices and others not so fancy but very happy with 33-1 Lalor and 16-1 Quel Distin as well as double figures about Epatante who is probably my nap of the meeting.

Winx win streak rolls on, now a world record. You can rightly question the quality of the opposition, but 31 wins in a row without an off day says something about this horse’s constitution.
Happy clapper is a decent horse and ran really well today as the frontrunner which it never does but winx just strode past it with ease. Hugh Bowman didn't need the whip at all

....I have those two @ 33-1 & 15-1.

Just looking to do a few handicap doubles now, if you can get one of those to click it can be a few bob.

Yeah, though finding one handicap winner is hard enough at the festival. Irish hurdlers and our chasers seems to be the way though in recent years.

Irish Anthem in the Foxhunters, 25-1.

....presume it’s qualified, I can’t find it’s point-to-point record. 40-1 available, 33-1 NRMB also on offer.

I have Stand up and Fight @ 20-1 and Caid du Berlais @ 25-1, but happy to add another at those prices if you’ve heard positive reports.

The trainers has one of the fave's " Road to Rome " and is saying " Irish Anthem " is running just as well if not better.

.....it’s entered so I presume it must be qualified but I can’t see any runs for a while. One to keep an eye on but I expect it’ll be bigger than 25-1, as I say 33-1 available with money back if it doesn’t run.

....Caid du Berlais just won a point-to-point by 25 lengths, that 25-1 for the Foxhunters is now well gone. Fingers crossed it turns up.

I've gone Abolitionist in the National been bought from Ireland with this race in mind.

It's now trained by Dr Richard Newland a previous National winning trainer who schools his horses over National fences.

It's not run over fences yet, something it needs to do to qualify. But it could be potentailly thrown in at the weights as it was on its hurdle debut in England when it hacked up Aintree.

.....Dr Newland looking to run it in the Pertemps Hurdle at next weeks festival, which is the same route he went with his last Grand National winner.
