Love Boxing Day, rarely win a carrot but a great days racing

2 days of Kempton and then the Coral Welsh National,

Is there only 4 meetings in England today, there was a time there would be a lot more on Boxing Day
is this because of COVID, or is this the norm now?

Ye it's quite normal, sometimes they squeeze another all weather meeting for obvious reasons, quality not quantity usually on boxing day and next few days

....Star Gate was favourite for the Ballymore before its run yesterday so Bravemansgame must be very good to win in that style. I backed it to win yesterday & any race at the Cheltenham Festival @ 22-1 so I’m happy to have it onside.

The Supreme and Ballymore look particularly open this year, especially with the defection of Ferny Hollow.

Always difficult to know how reliable a trainer can be when they show concern etc. Could potentially be looking to drive the price up for personal gain.

....yep, PP are now NRNB and SkyBet are normally quick to follow.

Actually, the ante-post Yankee I posted in Oct after drinking a few rums is looking tasty now (although Ballyadam might be Ballymore bound).

I have literally got a mountain of ante-post bets I’ve been putting on since last March. Envoi Allen (Marsh) and Shishkin (Arkle) are the ones the bookies must be fearing most. Both are probably too short to back now, but I have them in my book at bigger prices and in plenty of multiples. Appreciate It (Supreme) is another they are running scared of now Ferny Hollow is injured.

it’s useful to get into a market quickly if it looks like a fancied one will be missing. This morning there was news breaking that SheWearsitWell will be missing the Mares Novice Hurdle, so it was an opportunity to get one onside before the prices were adjusted.
