Horse Racing

I’m looking forward to seeing how Galvin gets on today against some top class rivals.

…if it wins that race I suspect it will have to be considered for the Cheltenham Gold Cup. The horse is one of my favourites of all time but I’ve always thought it a proper stayer suited more to the Grand National.

i’ll be watching with interest, although the likes of Minella Indo usually improves for a couple of runs. I imagine Nicholls will have Frodon spot on.

A terrific couple of days at Down Royal, Envoi Allen running today is fascinating. Glad to have Impervious & Hollow Games in my Cheltenham book before they won yesterday. Impervious still a decent bet for the Mares Novice Hurdle.

Wonderful race. You got it right, Froden was definitely ready.

….yep. I mentioned Galvin for the Grand National last March @ 33-1 & suggested a Sky RaB last week, Galvin to win any race at Cheltenham & the Grand National @ 75-1 which I know @Toast had an interest in.

After his brilliant run yesterday Galvin is now a general 16-1 for the GN but I fear it will now be given top weight. It will only be an 8 year old & I’m more inclined to think Elliott will aim it at the Gold Cup (general 16-1 from 40-1).

i wouldn’t be backing at this stage for the National until the plans are more certain.

Envoi Allen looked good yesterday, read a article Gordon Elliott stopped jockey’s Russell and Kennedy riding it, alot of bad feelings around racing over there by the looks of it. Maybe showing his arrogant side again.

I’ve just had a couple of small bets on Galvin for the GN at 33-1 and 20-1. I’ve also had a small bet on Secret Reprieve at 20-1 for the GN.

…he was fantastic, the conundrum now is what race he runs in at Cheltenham. I’ve literally got it at 225-1 to win the Gold Cup with Shishkin winning the Champion Chase, but the manner of its win yesterday suggests it a more speedy type suited to the Ryanair or even Champion Chase.
