Horse Racing

I live v close to Lambourn, I have some of my best friends who work in the racing industry, I know trainers, high profile past & present jockeys, stable staff, people who are male and female, people who are Irish, English and from further afield and the one thing i will say is that i have never heard a good word in all my years about this lady, genuinely not a single good word in fact the words used to describe her would be the opposite of good. I also heard rumours that she was not meant to be very nice to other female jockeys be that right or wrong but i would have heard that years ago.

He's supposed to be a bit of a play boy and a bit mad, never met him, I thought they'd ban him for the rest of the season. His defence was not good from what i read although i thought the case against him was flimsy too, relying on a tweet which was a dig about her interviews which i firmly agree with as i find them painful too, then evidence from an unnamed fence attendant being witness to an argument between the pair where he told her he'd put her through the wings of a fence. which never occurred and which sounded like the football equivalent of "hey you're getting in next time" and 9 times out of 10 nothing would happen. More serious for me was him seemingly exposing himself but that was in the men's changing room when she was in there. 12 months + feels very harsh in a case where there had to be some trial my media involved because the industry paper the Racing Post came out in her favour.
Damning.

I see Bryony sold her story to that rag the sun, I wonder what she made? She does not help herself, when ITV were supposed to be desperate to have her on to talk about it.

….a couple that might be worth a very small wager in Sky’s RaB ante-post doubles section.

Commander of Fleet to win Christmas Hurdle & Festival Stayers Hurdle @ 100-1;
the Christmas Hurdle in Ireland over the holiday looks very hot and the winner is likely to become short priced favourite for the Stayers in March. CoF was very impressive last time out and might be better than those odds suggest (although Flooring Porter currently looks a big price at 11-1 for the Stayers).

Capadanno to win any Festival race in March and the following Gold Cup @ 200-1;
I heard rumours of Capadanno before it’s race course debut and sent a PM to @Toast. It didn’t really live up to expectation when starting over hurdles but won a valuable handicap at Punchestown Festival in the Spring like a very good horse. Trained by Willie Mullins, made his debut over fences this week & beat some highly regarded types despite nearly falling two out. it’s now near the head of the market for two races at Cheltenham in March & if it wins either, that 200-1 will be a very nice ticket to be sitting on.

Both are worth a £1.

I’ve had £2 on Cappadanno for the National Hunt Chase as it was mentioned in Mark Howard’s One Jump Ahead. Managed to get 18-1 a few weeks ago.
