….it’s looking a great opportunity for Shishkin now. He was 9-1 to win yesterday & Ryanair but I haven’t got him in my book. Your in a nice position with Shishkin, he looks the likely winner now.

I’m on Janidil e/w @ 28-1 and I took the 50-1 for him to win yesterday & Ryanair but I don’t see him beating Shishkin.

My Ryanair book (but I don’t think I have the winner);

Blue Lord 3pts @ 35-1; 1pt e/w 14-1; 2pts @ 16-1 to win any race.
French Dynamite 1pt e/w @ 33-1
Fury Rd 1pt e/w @ 25-1; 1pt e/w @ 22-1
Janidil 1pt e/w 28-1; 1pt 50-1 (after winning yesterday)

I doubt I’ll have another bet in the race, it’s not one I think I’ll see a profit on.

Sick over Blazing Kahl as I cashed in a 28-1 bet I had on him. He’d be a real fly in the ointment for my Stayers book which I thought was quite good. Trainer reports him to have had a setback yesterday. Teahupoo is one I like for the Stayers at this point.

Concentrating on handicaps now, especially with NRNB.

That's still an excellent position to be on in the ryanair for you considering current exchange prices. Do you think blue lord will definitely enter the ryanair as he also holds a champion chase entry and is similar prices on both on the exchange?

I had Saint sam nrnb on the stayers but he bombed out in that race with blazing khal and looked to want shorter so im hoping they pull him out of that one now to get my money back.

….Blue Lord was disappointing last time. In his most recent stable tour Mullins said he’s considering Ryanair because of Allaho’s defection but Shishkin stepped up yesterday & might scare him off. Based on his last run, I doubt BL is good enough to win the CC or Ryanair.

Hard to see Saint Sam getting the Stayers hurdle distance based on that last run. Must have a good chance of getting your money back. Difficult to know what Mullins best dart will be in the Stayers, with doubts over Klassical Dream (read a rumour this morning that Sir Gerhard might head that way).
 

….for the last two years a bloke on our racing forum researches form, speaks with his fellow horse racing owners & trainers he uses & identifies a decent priced single selection for Cheltenham.

At a set time he announces the name of the horse and we all get on. We then usually watch as the price falls. Two years ago it was Happygolucky @ 33-1, which went off a few weeks later at 100/30 fav & was unlucky to finish 2nd. Last year he gave us Galahad Quest who he’d been assured was aimed at the Festival but went for a valuable race elsewhere instead (no monies lost because NRNB).

Anyway, i’ll hopefully know this years selection tomorrow night. I’ll pop it in here after I’ve got on myself. I’m not suggesting folk back it but it’s a bit of interest.

it’s Cheltenham Festival, everything goes with a chance. This is certainly not a good thing but the bloke who gave it has done a lot of chatting with the owner and trainer. All we can say is they think it’s got a great chance.

I’ve backed it because of that but I do like another in the race. It’s worth a couple of £ each way.

….8-1 now with 365. Could we’ll end up favourite in 3 weeks.

He wasn’t one I’d have backed myself but connections clearly feel it has a chance & it’s an interest if he turns up fit and well.
