I assume they are all each way bets Eggs. I don't think you get that option with the free bets. It's a straight £5 win I think. Unless I've missed something with the previous bets I've done. Anything you fancy running tomorrow or Thursday for a straight win mate.? I won't hold it against you if it loses lol , but I'd chose you over me to pick something that would rub their noses in it.

A couple have mentioned Bet365 and I think my mate has an account with them too, so may opt for them.

Cheers mate anyway.;)

….not sure if you took that 33-1, Fred. into 16-1 this morning.

….brilliant, well done Fred. My last bet with them was in Dec ‘21. I put their £5 free bet on GDC to win the 2023 Gold Cup @ 20-1. It was nice to withdraw that last week.

The two voids narrowed the acca down slightly, and Cain broke his hand first round knocking his opponent down twice. SD loss.

The poison run continues. @Eggs

…my word, there’s usually one that lets you down doing that many in a multiple even at such short prices. Decent effort and no doubt gave you a bit of interest but not the type of bet I’d be contemplating.

First time going to Aintree this year (Friday). Anyone that has been before would you advise just betting via my usual accounts or using the on-site bookies? Also any fancies would be ace!

I like using the bookies on-site, but I think getting paid the money there and then feels better. Using your usual account will give you the best odds for if the horse drifts out.

If you back anything to win and it's a big price, I'd recommend using the tote as you can get much higher odds in some of the races. When we were at Cheltenham a couple of years ago, a woman next to us put £20 ew on a 66/1 which won, she did it with Tote and they paid 183/1, she was crying when she went to collect it.

Hoping the weather continues to improve before Aintree, would be nice if it was similar to last year.

….you tend to get ‘extra places’ with firms on-line. Personally, I’ve been going to Aintree for over 20 years and rarely use the inconvenience of course bookmakers. Much better to go the bar, go to the Tote and chat between races.

As somebody who doesn’t own a mobile, I’ll pretty much have my bets on in advance (already have a number in My book) and use the Tote on-course.

For the big handicaps, the Tote usually pays more and I love doing small stakes Reverse Exacta (I had the 1st & 2nd in the Boodles at Cheltenham a fortnight ago & it paid £170 for £1 stake). I did PM @Rita_Poon with the winner of the Boodles but just like my missus, he chose to ignore me!!

"Yo RP, you've asked for a hot tip (easy now) so it's 'Goes like the clappers' in the 1:45 to win. Have yourself a cheeky £2.50 ew for some insurance"

I'm not clever enough to know all the nuance horse speak, gotta be ultra specific 'cos I'm a bit thick.
