HOT TRANSFER NEWS

Bill has told Keith Lamb that he'll be back with an improved offer. Lamb, for his part has said he might not be *too* reluctant to let the Nigerian go now that they signed Mido despite Southgates contrary position.

I think Lamb is interested in the transfermoney they'd get for Yak.. £12M is quite a lot... trading yak for mido and £5M is quite a good deal for them. Mido can score, perhaps not as much as Yak, but the extra £5M should be enough to strengthen another part of the team and that might be more beneficial for them than keeping Yak. Lamb might see it that way, Southgate won't. He doesn't want to be known as the manager who sold Yak and Viduka in the same summer.

Me either, and they linked us with anyone we even whispered about ove rthe last three years. given the track record of the media it is quite remarkable that we hadn't been linked at some point.

We were linked with him last summer, but everybody felt he was too similar to Beattie (Remember we had just come off of Beattie's great run of form)

“Benfica’s Manuel Fernandes broke off from training with the team this morning in preparation for the game with FC Copenhagan as the midfielder could be heading for the exit to Everton. The player’s absence from the team hotel received no official explanation from the club, but speculation is mounting that he will move to the city of The Beatles where he played last season on loan. It must be remembered that if Manuel Fernandes is used in the game with FC Copenhagan he would be ineligible to represent another team in European competitions this season.”

their is 3 different topics about the fernandes deal.. and as some people might only check 1.. i thought it best 2 post on numerous ones !
