Look at what it is doing to people on here. You have always struck me as one of our more level headed posters on here, one of the better ones, yet I and others are getting annoyed at you and others calling people whiners, you are annoyed at people calling you a kopite or clueless. We are all Evertonians and to be honest we are probably doing nothing that we wouldn't usually do on here. The divisiveness is massive and he hasn't even been appointed yet!

Anyone who thinks things will just be normal and everyone gets on with it is wrong, the feelings are too strong and the reasonable ones telling the angry ones to grow up etc is going to cause a massive argument as will the kopite shouts coming back at them.

My anger will be 100% towards the board if this goes through which is incredibly rare for me.

If the board are smarter than I give them credit for (they are not) they will be delaying this appointment to announce a couple of boss new signings at the same time. Distract the angry horde with something new and shiny.

Can we just make our own decisions, and stop forcing everybody else's opinion, as if they should leave the club because this and that? Act according to your logic and instincts and shut it up with this silly debate on who to exclude from the club.

If people want to boo it's their right to do so, and if people wanna clap it is their right too.

Appointing him, is more devising than the covid vaccinations discussion. That is something nobody can ignore.
So whatever side you choose, if you're in it to wind people up and have "intra-squad" scuffles in the stands, better be more careful and think about it twice.

The Kool-Aid is that Rafael Benitez will be Everton Manager.

If that means my team's has him as a manager then I have to support that team no matter what.

I wasn't a fan of Koeman, Fat Sam or Silva but I got behind the fact that if they do well, Everton do well.

I am not deluded into thinking Benitez will be a turn this club around and we'll be back at the top of the league but I am optimistic that he will at least be professional and try to win games for this club.

I get all the negativity about him, the small club comments, his connection with RS and his past record. I AM NOT HAPPY WE APPOINTED HIM but I am not angry at him but rather the board who feel a manager like him is the option we need.

I just think he's not that good and all the rs stuff doesn't help him.
He's just an expensive Spanish Allardyce who got lucky with Houliers squad...and a rs

I'll find it very hard to get use to Benitez being our manager. He at times came across as even more dull than Moyes was. He may of been a top class manager when he was in his prime, but that was over a decade ago. Its been bad enough for us to have to watch over rated, over paid players that have gone past their best without starting to do this with manager too.

I'll be watching from a distance while he is at the club, hoping I'm wrong and that he can bring us forward, but expecting another move backwards.

100%. Carlos football was as bad and hard to watch as Big Sam's who finished higher than Carlo from a worse starting position.

Ancelotti does the same thing...its always someone else fault...our home record has been shocking yet not once he acknowledged that perhaps he made the wrong decision or use the wrong tactics...always using the same excuse about attitude of the players.
