He was horrendous going forward for the first 20, though.

Yep, and didn't really go forward much after that. His defensive game has come on massively, though. He's exactly what anyone would wish for in a player: geniune, if raw, natural ability and an understanding and commitment to how hard he needs to work to become a top level player. I don't think it's unrealistic to expect him to continue improving for the next year or two, until he's one of the best, most well-rounded full backs in the league.
 

Coming into his own as a defender and is giving us the luxury of keeping Mirallas at an advanced postion and the ability to roam. Only thing his game needs is a good cross after a touch or 2 to keep defenders honest.
 

The frightening thing is that if Hibbert hadn't have been injured when Coleman went through his ropey patch we wouldn't have seen Coleman other than for fleeting appearances at RM.

We all know it.
 
Alonside Anichebe Coleman's emergence as a proper Premier League right back is one of the biggest positives of the season so far.

BUT HE CAN'T DEFEND LOL.
