What baffles me is if the owners/Brands want to keep him - why not pull the clown aside and give him an ultimatum ie. You said you change nothing/tactics for away games however results and performances show its obvious that you need to adjust tactics so do it or if results continue we'll have to let you go.

The problem is our board seem to give the manager 100% free reign to do as they please and it allows for rigid stubborn managers like him and Brown Shoes to thrive.

Imagine if your job was like that - you kept cocking up on something but the management just let you carry on with how you were doing things without instructing you to change it up

Then Brands has to be involved in that 'pulling aside' too as he failed in multiple positions in the summer.

Plus, we have absolutely no idea if that has happened or not. Because if it does happen, it will be in house.

They might well have done, only I think it would be in the context of an end of season review, whether or not that is not quick enough for some people.

Moshiri has been well able to wield the axe and he seems keen on appeasing fans, although that isn't a trait which has served us particularly well to date.

The change in dynamic this time around is Brands and so initially at least, you could go on the working assumption that barely a year into the job, he isn't going to want to rock the boat too much.

I don't buy the "colleagues" relationship between Silva and Brands that both men and the club seem to like to portray - even if they get on and like each other, Silva is answerable to Brands and if Brands is as methodical as he is said to be, then we won't need to worry about him forming a match-by-match assessment of Silva.

I totally get the frustration and the Villa / Bournemouth games have been exceptionally awful in my view but I just think as a fan that taking any steps now would potentially cause more harm than good. The comparison to Chelsea in rapid hire and fire isn't exactly applicable to us. If there is a manager, Silva or someone else, that is going to ultimately succeed here then it's a given that they are going to have to encounter and overcome bumpy patches.

It may well be that Silva only gets as far as laying the groundwork for someone else to continue and complete. I do think there are worrying signs but that isn't enough to hit the panic button and reset yet again right now. I don't think Brands will have any difficulty in acting in the clubs best interest if and when he thinks something needs to be done.

I don't think we are at the stage for an ultimatum either but if Silva is worth his salt he won't need one. They must be having or are surely shortly about to have, an awkward conversation about our away form in particular. I would be utterly amazed if that wasn't the case.
Simple as this really, Any talk of sacking is taking the biscuit tbh but we NEED to see some improvement, It wasn't that we just lost at Bournemouth we looked like a team of complete strangers, I try to be positive about Everton as a whole because it's gonna be a long process to get to where the fans want to be but jesus christ in no way shape or form should we be playing like we did against Villa and B'mouth with that set of players home or away.

At the back end of last season when we went on a decent run, people had their heads turned thinking that we had turned a corner. At that point of the season there was nothing to play for. I said at the time, too little too late.
5 games in to the new campaign we have been less than convincing against sides that we should be beating with ease. Our performance at Palace wasn't exactly brilliant, Watford at home we were lucky to get all three points. Villa away was shocking, and Wolves at home for me wasn't convincing especially in the way that we conceded goals. Bournemouth yesterday was no exception. Another farce of a performance on live TV. Silva for me has done nothing in his time there to convince me that he is worthy of his role. He was never my choice in the first place and whether you agree with me or not, I would take Moyes back tomorrow. He knew the club inside out, and had the club run well. I would have loved to have seen Moyes have the financial backing Silva has had.
Moyes was limited into his signings, and to be fair, he made more good signings than bad.
Silva is not the man to bring silverware to Goodison.

That there is your problem, expect to beat sides with ease. we aren't that good like. Widely regarded as the most competitive league ours is it not? You don't beat teams with ease, you shouldn't expect us to do so.

I was just looking at our opening fixtures for this season, Had Wolves and Palace not been matched to us, and two of the top 6 had taken their places'
we would have been cap in hand to Fat Sam again, to pull us out of the bottom 2. With a hapless defence, a spineless midfield and a toothless attack
I honestly can see us relegated.

Relegated, huh?

Said it for a while - relegation or a top manager are the only two things that will shake this club up.

Sadly I can see us doing down before the owners have the ambition to go for a top man to push us forward.

Don't forget lads this was this easy start to the season.

We have been simply woeful.

We have better players now, but so do other teams.

Bournemouth beat us comfortably with an old fashioned 4-4-2.
An outdated formation according to some in these parts!
But too much for us to handle.

We beat Watford and Wolves at home. Nothing to shout about is it?

Marco's signings have not bedded in yet. Get ready to write off another season.
This will take time and more players.
Never forget the pile of shoite Marco inherited Not an easy fix. There will be no gain in sacking the manger.
Trust me on this.
