How predictable is Moyes?

What are the special risks for younger sportsmen?

Dr Phil Bell, a GP with a special interest in sports medicine, said the fact that adolescents' bodies are relatively immature puts them at greater risk of injury.

"For young sportsmen, the intensity and the training of their matchplay has greatly increased," he said.

"If you impose that on a relatively immature musculo-skeletal system, they are more prone to injury."

He said that adolescent and adult athletes were affected by different types of injury.

"Teens are more likely to suffer injuries at the growth plates - the centres of growth of the bone - and the attachment points for tendons," he said.

"Adults are more likely to suffer tears to the muscle and ligaments."

Younger athletes are particularly vulnerable during times of increased growth, Dr Bell said.

Dr Bell said the long-term risk was that promising young athletes would have to drop out of sport before they had fulfilled their potential.

As one of the resident GOT experts in physical training will testify. BULK doesn't necessarily equate to PHYSICAL STRENGTH.

Hey Goat?

Hmmm. I still think that Barkley could easily lift Nik up off the ground while the opposite seems unlikely.
Does this mean that you think Nik has hidden strengths ?

You never actually did prove why Barkley cant play every week "at his age".

And some friendly advice, you might wanna stop calling everybody a tit.

You’re a tit, Damon is a tit, We’re all tit’s mate. Some tit’s are bigger than others mind. Take me for example, I’m definitely a right tit, not the biggest tit going but certainly a handful & one prone to titish behavior, a middlin’ tit but a tit none the less. Now I like to think that knowing this this makes me quite rounded as tits go.
Some tits get to walk through life not even suspecting themselves to be tits, like a dowdy housewife, scoffing at a page 3 lovely, I resent and envy such tits in equal measure.

I suppose its easy to say hes predictable, i doubt any of us are super ****hes of footballing gurus though - we simply have a small squad and our option are limited.

Its a fine line between inventive and not knowing what your doing in a fans eye. Just as having a limited options suddenly jumps to being predictable.

Beats me why we can't play two up front (two strikers i mean, not midfielders). I'm at a loss. We're so damn boring. Only get going when there's ten minutes left and David sends two strikers on to rescue the game. No defence, no attack, no midfield. That's what i call predictable.

We had 3 strikers on the bench and yet he elected to play with a midfielder up top. With a defensive midfielder supporting.

He also let Yakubu and Beckford go, so if he didn't have faith in those strikers left on the bench, maybe he shouldn't have done that.

A midfeilder who has consistently hit double figures throughout his Prem career though and in most of those seasons scored more then recognised strikers. I can understand the thinking.

These day i think Cahill is a less of a midfeilder than of old, i do apprecite he plays better of a front man though.

His record is up there with the best in his position:

Yes he does mate. I'm not belittling Cahill as he won me over of late showing he can do a shift at CF. But we had genuine CFs on the bench. We had genuine CFs leave in the transfer window. I just don't think the "it's not Moyes' fault we're predictable, we've just got a small squad" argument really stands up, that's all.

Aye agree mate, its a bit scratching, i think its one thing not having money for forwards its another, selling and loaning out whoever you have in the last two transfer window - it doesnt make sense really. That said i think in Moyes head we only need one regular one.

Whilst I agree we were predictable with our line up last season I think that is most deffinately changing this season.

I would also say it is a little unfair to criticize him on this with the limited squad we have. I'm sure if he had city's squad he would rotate more.

I thin with letting the 2 strikers leave Moyes thinks that vellios and straq can offer as much as what has been allowed to move on and I agree. These 2 could provide the future yak and beckford never were going to.

He's not stupid, and I'm sure he still knows like he has for a few years now we need to sign a quality proven CF hopefully he can do that in Jan. In order to do that players like yak and beckford had to go!

Trust him guys he knows what he's doing!
