How stupid are Manu?

Ahhh I get it. We're your direct rivals now and a threat to your teams aspirations. Everton are in Utds way. Thats why you're here.

That must sting a little. All those pots and titles and your direct rivals now, is our lot, who havent won a thing since pissing on your lot ( ironically ) in the cup final. Still you have to steady the ship.

To be fair, the lad joined to laugh at that lot, as witness his near 100% activity in their thread. Someone started this thread. What do you expect?

And as long as everyone are reasonably respectful to each other, then that is fair enough I reckon.

So are all of merseyside bitter now?

Since when have Evertonians been bitter about utd? He's asking questions and we've replied our opinions. Are they coming across as bitter to you Roydo?

Not really mate. I have assumed that he is using the term in a teasing way, probably because our nearest and dearest use it. Might be wrong.

When a non blue signs up, and sticks around longer than a match weekend, we obviously keep an eye on them, and by and large, I think the majority of @RAWK Meltdown contributions have been fine. In a thread about his own club, especially one with such a title, its not difficult to see why he might be defensive at times, but on balance, the contributions from 99% in this thread have been within the boundaries.

No way! No supporter base is 'this' or 'that' - like I've said before, you can't generalise an entire fanbase, it's ludicrous.

I actually refer to Liverpool supporters as "bitters" but I don't think they are all actually bitter. I have a very good friend who's a Pool supporter and he's the most down-to-earth, sound bloke I know.

@RAWK Meltdown the bitter tag is certain to rile up a majority of Evertonians simply because it's Liverpool's favourite insult, in case you were wondering why there's a backlash every time you say it. Probably better to swerve the word.

It's what United supporters (used to) call City fans as well. "Bertie Bitters". It's very childish.

I was just saying that certain posts or posters were coming across AS bitter, or a few people were coming across as BEING bitter because of our new signings. I didn't mean it in the Liverpool fan's sense.

But that explains a lot, thanks for the head's up mate :)

Bertie Bitters haha love that mate. Sounds so Mancunian and nostalgic as a phrase.

I won't lie, I've called a few City supporters 'Bertie Magoo' on the way to the game, but we're going back 15 years. I'm too old for that stuff now :D

Hahaha Christ some of the filth I come up with and that's just to the missus who is a Kopite. I try to tone it down in front of my 5 year old son, he will learn for himself in time as everyone knows the RS are the gift that just keep on giving ;)

I'm the same mate, I've got a 2 year old and I don't want him picking up on my dodgy ways! My wife reckons I am so quiet when I watch the games these days compared to 5-10 years back - she used to leave the house if United were playing!

I have actually got worse mate and the language even worse. It's the desperation for a bloody trophy that gets me so wound up. I swear I would be a better man, father and husband if Everton just won me a bloody trophy once every couple of years ;)
