We're going to get battered by Chelsea the way they are playing and the way we are defending. Arsenal always bottle it at Old Trafford though, they couldn't even beat us when Moyes was in charge. So we'll have them. Will we lose to Palace at home like you lot did? I hope not, another 3 points for us there. Liverpool away? Anything could happen. We'll probably win. Another 3 points.

So it's not all doom & gloom my dear Evertonians. Plus you've still got the awful Europa League to contend with - you're gonna be knackered when you play us on Sunday ;)

Of course it's about points on the table but some games are easier to get points from than others.

A table doesn't take form until all teams have played a decent ammount of games so that accidents of tough and easy fixtures get smoothed out.

Judging anything based on a table when so few games have played is idiotic. You shouldn't even look at a table until after 10 or 15 games.

This is true. It's also idiotic to say "But but but they haven't played <insert good team here> yet" when you go and lose to bottom of the league Palace at home.

We could beat Chelsea one week and then get smashed by West Brom the week after. Football is unpredictable like that.

I reckon, in the long run, we'll finish above you lot simply due to the fact that we haven't got midweek football and when Falcao, RVP and Mata/Rooney all click - we'll score goals for fun. Plus I think we'll bring in a world class CB in January.

You should be finishing above us. You have much more resources than us and a much more star studded team.

The six super rich clubs only finish below everton when they seriously seriously mess up. It does happen on occassion but if you have your act together we can't compete.

Still, you've looked shaky so I wouldn't put it past us to do it again.

Scotsman is reading a paper when he sees a bloke in london has killed 8 people, shake his head and goes 'shocking that, no scotsman would ever behave that way'.

Next week, same fella is reading a paper and he sees a bloke in dundee has killed 9 people, shake his head again and goes 'outrageous, no true scotsman would ever behave like that'.

Baiscally you're judging that no man u fan would do something cringeworthy and then when a man u fan does do that, they're not a true man u fan.

You are correct. But I also think Everton have been poor from what I've seen, as have Spurs.

If we don't finish above Everton, Spurs etc with, like you point out, the resources at our disposal - it's a failure of a season. Luckly we don't have Moyes in charge this time and Van Gaal is changing a lot of things. Already we're an improvement up-front, there have been spells of some wonderful attacking play. Rojo was superb at centre back on Saturday too, Shaw was solid. We just need another centre back to play next to Rojo and we're set.

I think by Xmas we'll look far better, as will Everton.

More that if you're that much of a button then you're not really a football fan and more some sort of distorted freak

This is solely levelled at people who would pay to hire a PLANE to show a banner to a player like that

I mean, that's just madness

The proof of that is that supporters of different clubs can agree on how stupid it is

You should read RAWK meltdown response. Not a question of games to be played but games that have to be won look at our effort against bottom of the table. The silly thing about this is that if we won all our games so far and were right up there with City you more than likely and the others be crowing CL here we come.

If you could stop judging me on things I haven't actually said but you think I might, that would be great.
