How unfit we are

Note to self: don't have two white and blue club forums open in separate tabs. Took me far too long after clicking to realise this wasn't about our crap first half vs Wolves (the references to Moyes completely confused me, just assumed it was something to do with last season's West Ham game).

(makes much needed coffee, heads back to nose on your stadium thread instead)

Jesus Christ we are a pitiful bunch on here.

Be the wrong weather or hard pitches next.

We're just not very good. Deal with it
You're right of course, but given that - the best form of discipline is self discipline, I believe there is still (and tbh, there's Always room for more application at training) room for more mental and physical effort.
Also, I know from experience that players can always 'hide at the back' and/or 'go through the motions'

( "That's what sandhills are for," said the arlarse dinosaur. )

Leeds did it last night. We did it against brentford and leeds(first 2 game under Lampard). We press well against Chelsea.

We can do better and the game against forest is definitely not the benchmark set by lampard. He is clearly upset about it. High press is a major part of his game plan.
I get your point but still feel it’s about choosing the right time to press. The Man City press is still based on them quickly regaining the ball to then use their passing ability to retain it. We have barely any players who are comfortable in sustained possession. We could press for 90 mins but would still be ineffectual with the ball and continuously lose it. Until we have players who can put together more than three passes then we will always struggle.

Will FFP disappear in October?
This is all the boards doing, do you think frank said to them when Richarlison left, get me a striker on deadline day
Completely agree with you. I was merely saying it’s harsh judging Frank now and at least judge him after the windows closed and he’s had a chance to work with any additions he has.
To be honest I think anyone would struggle with this job!

It amazes me when you watch the training vids of them doing the 'piggy in the middle' thing. The first touch and rapid passing looks excellent. Yet not one of them looks capable during an actual match.
I thought the same we would probably be decent at five a side judging by that.

Bit harsh IMO. His football is based on this season so far?! (You can’t base ‘his’ football on last season surely as that was about survival.)
The football so far has been better than this time last season just without the results. The results have suffered because we’ve got no striker. That’s not lampard’s fault and it’s also not lampards fault that Richarlison was sold and that we are hamstrung by FFP.
I would have thought we need to reserve fair judgement him until October at least?!
No one in the league plays this kind of boring and cowardly anti football. Lampard showed in Chelsea that he has no idea and he shows the same at Everton these 23 games. At the end of the October we won't have a single victory and Lampard will be fired anyway. Maybe then it will be too late.

You’re on a wind up, so I’m leaving it there then.?

I always think the same when they show the shooting drills.

Can’t cope under pressure, difference between the very best and most other players.

It's the other little things too. He didn't allow for slackers or the kind of nonsense we see on the training videos these days. All the players had to be professional.

I remember we were on a losing run and he took all the players to a factory and made them see what other normal folk were doing to earn a living. It made them realise how privileged they were and he would always maintain those high standards and took no nonsense.

Now it's all smiles and ice creams at ff
We used to start terribly most seasons under Moyes.
