The goal he gave up was horrible but besides that he did decent today. We could have easily lost 3-1 or 4-1.

He's not having a good season but he's not getting too much help either. I haven't seen a team worse than us on free kicks this year. Sad considering a few years ago we were probably the best team in the prem taking and defending free kicks.

But that's just it, he's there for when the outfield players can not effectively stop the ball from going towards the goal. It's his job to try and save the team from conceding, the last line of defence. When it comes down to the bare bones of it, it's a solo job that he has to deal with on his own.

Regardless of how often he's been exposed, he has shown himself to be consistently not up to saving the team in these circumstances, which was perhaps his defining positive attribute because it certainly wasn't his ability to deal with crosses or to save long shots.

His "good" games now seem to be when he makes routine saves that any Premier League keeper should be easily making and not making a serious error that costs us a goal.

Being proficient in your position doesn't necessarily mean you make a great trainer or manager mate.

Why are we blaming Chris Woods? He's not responsible for some absolutely bizarre positioning from Tim. A few people earlier have it right - his positioning is downright odd in certain moments. He made a few great punches, a solid block, then looked afraid to dive right on a colossal ef up, then made a standing save. His miss was bewildering because I don't even know how you position yourself to miss that. How does Chris train against absolute strangeness? It's a head scratcher. And his other option is Mucha - who Moyes clearly has zero interest in. As a GKing coach he does have to work with Tim mentally right now, but the positioning is downright impossible to predict it's so out of left field and bizarro.

I see that, but as I have said many times, no pressure on Tim whatsoever.. Therefore, no pressure on his coach either.. It's just an opinion I have mate.
I think we should have some attacking coaches on the staff as well.. But, again, it's just my opinion. We are allowed to differ you know !

He's a free agent and desperate to kick start his career. Wages wouldn't be very high at all.

Pay as you play would be a no brainier, or even a short term deal with an option, cos it would just be our luck that he came in, played a blinder every week and went somewhere else !

Oh, that's fine - I don't know what goes on beyond the scenes with Woods, but in this case I think it's difficult to necessarily say training will fix matters because Tim's mistakes this year have been just plain ODD. As in weird positioning, weird body angles...weird.

So I think it's less on Chris and on Tim having an absolutely miserable year. Get some competition in, I can agree with you guys on that. Don't think we should sell though.
