Yes and a marked contrast to the way players such as Paul Power and Wayne Clarke were absolutely ignored as members of the 86/87 title winning team, in fact 86/87 team was largely ignored, the coverage of 86/87 was very poor indeed imo.
Interesting point. Hadn't noticed til you said that. Wonder why.

As has been referred to earlier, if they hadn’t devoted as much time to Derek Hatton, we could have seen substantially more of the 87 title triumph, which in many ways was a better achievement due to a terrible injury list.

Maybe they're planning to do a sequel to cover 86/87

I’d hope so. Don’t know how many sales of this documentary there has been, but I’ve seen nothing but praise for the quality of ‘Howard’s Way’. If they did something similar with the 87 team (interviewing all the squad) im sure it would prove equally as popular.
There's a documentary on youtube called something like Everton Champions Again covering just 86/87. Not as good as Howard's Way but lots of footage of that season, interviews with Paul Power, Dave Watson, Terry Darracott etc

Cheers mate I’ll look it up. ;)

To mark the 10th anniversary of the Cup Winners Cup bbc R5 did a half hour documentary with Kevin Ratcliffe, Peter Reid, Andy Gray... I recorded it to tape (!) at the time but since lost it, wish I could find a way to hear that again. Been on to BBC archives but they're useless. I just remember the sheer nostalgia and emotion that it provoked. Hope tonight is as good.

Must admit to thinking the Arsenal title winning one in '89 where they denied Liverpool by winning their last and championship deciding game at Anfield 0-2 a much better program even if it hardly brought back the same emotions or involvement.

Possibly more dramatic as the last seconds of the last game at their biggest rivals decided it, only a two goal win would do, but concentrating far more on the football (and players involved) was the big difference for me.

Far less social documentary and peripheral rubbish, Question time ffs.
