There's a documentary on youtube called something like Everton Champions Again covering just 86/87. Not as good as Howard's Way but lots of footage of that season, interviews with Paul Power, Dave Watson, Terry Darracott etc
Cheers Billy, limited in that it's only one camera for much of the action at Goodison, on half way high up at the Bullets Road end, but plenty of action and huge detail on how the whole season developed.
As already mentioned, great interviews with Paul Power, Kevin Ratcliffe, Kevin Sheedy, Graeme Sharpe, Terry Darracott and Merseyside based Times journalist Ian Ross.
Superb the way Howard coped with adversity using the transfer market, Dave Watson the big signing replacing fans favourite Derek Mountfield, and the Goodison crowd predictably as usual straight away on his case making life difficult for him, overcoming their antagonism showed what a great character and signing he was.
Injuries, and long term ones too, to Southall, Reid, Van den Hauwe, Pointon plus the usual short term ones, losing Lineker in the summer to Barca as well, the task looked immense after the double disappointment the previous season of losing out in league and cup to Liverpool.
Kevin Langley from lowly Wigan, Neill Adams, Wilkinson and of course Wayne Clarke all making crucial contributions to a truly massive achievement considering just how severely our squad was tested.
If you can watch YouTube on your tv rather than a small (ish) computer screen it's well worth it, as the action on a small screen wouldn't do it justice with the limitations on camera angles.
Enjoyed it more than Howard's Way tbh, although as posted, didn't think the latter that impressive at all tbh.
