'Howard's Way' Film

I have yet to see it but one reason may be costs? The footage may be out there but it all has to be paid for and the amount may depend on who has those particular rights? Whereas a talking head interview conducted by the filmmakers won't have the same cost attached.
But they manage to fit in our 5 nil defeat to the other lot, when other footage is out there, a poorly constructed film to our greatest ever manager for me.

Just my opinion, but I think it was more about the lead up to the team that won the CWC and what could have been.

No, it quickly brushes over the great 86 team, and only shows VDH winner at Norwich to win the league in 87,so its not just about 85

Ah, well it was just a thought and only the filmmaker would be able to give the real reasons for the choices they've made. A little bird has hinted that this may be appearing under the Christmas tree so it will be awhile before I can form an opinion!

If it was about cost, why waste money on interviews with peole like Hatton and show footage of the Toxteth riots, when we have footage of the class of Sharp, Steven, Sheedy & Bracewell

This might be of interest:

Kendall was also revered at City. There is still talk amongst us older fans of 'what if?' if Kendall had stayed at Maine Road. I remember the exact moment in time I heard he had left City to go back to Everton. I was just pulling into Birch Services to fill up when it came over the radio. I was in a complete daze for the rest of the day.

As we know Reidy really was a bit of a lad and I used to bump into him at a nightclub called Benny's in Bury where he used to knock about with Brian Robson and the snooker player Tony Knowles (aka The Bolton Stud). He was always a decent, down to earth, friendly guy. He also did well for us as player and a manager after Kendall departed. Happy times and great memories!

Watched it last night. As a previous poster said, it also left me feeling sad. If you were there to witness that side like I was then it's a real nostalgia trip. What comes across is that Howard, Colin and the player were winners and they looked after eachother. There could have been more interview footage of HK which was sparse, but all in all it was a must watch, moreso for our younger fans because they more than anyone need to know what our club is all about.

When an ordinary fan appears in it more times than the main man something is wrong somewhere.

Seems like someone’s ego needed massaging.

Good idea, good attempt but falls short of being the master piece it could and should have been.
