Feared the worst when I saw the team and knowing our history of disasters in his competition.

We haven't lost in the 2nd round since 2002.

The player gets a great opportunity to show what he can do and that is the result.

Think you've made an unfair assessment...its rare that any player does not react when blatantly fouled, and Keans reaction was minimal. That doesn't make him an idiot it makes him a human being. He is a young player with talent but gets treated very unfairly by a section of the Everton 'support'. But thats always the case with certain section of our so called 'support'

We were unlucky.

One goal wrongly disallowed and a harsh red leaving us with 10 men.

We would have won comfortably if we played our best team.

Bench and some youth got a run.. chance to build game time and get fitter and sharper.. and won.. Benitez got it right. Seeing him animated and still coaching at 94 mins with a goal kick shows he’s all in … nice to see

When Townsend was sent flying towards the end, Rafael was on the touchline. His gestures made me think he must be singing 'Go Compare'
