No, it's a banal statement, and quite clearly not what I was referring to. You made reference to training methods as a reason a player might not come: "Moyes in particular, given his reputation for boot camp training". I was merely saying that I don't think it has a profound impact on a player's decision.
Obviously there are more attractive clubs, but salary is almost exclusively the driving force when it comes to us competing with non-CL clubs for players. Of course, some blame can be placed on Moyes that we're not more successful and therefore more appealing (and here, if you wanted, you can spiral right back to "MOYEZIZ BAD TRAININGZ" much like my childhood dog that kept running over to my King Kong teddy every time he had an erection) but that gets us into a very dull Catch-22 about "well, if we could offer higher salaries..."
I'm not contesting your bigger point, just one of the smaller ones it contains.
