I'm a little confused here.

What is hull city's actual name these days? Google just tells me the name change was rejected last year and nothing more, but I have seen references including the official everton news calling them Hill tigers.

So...when did this happen and anyone got any news stories linking it because I can't find any!

They are Hull City AFC; however the club seems to think they are called Hull Tigers. The FA rejected Hull' s application to change their name; Hull have appealed that decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, that decision is still pending.

Nicknamed The Tigers, but that's about it.
The phoney pharaoh that is Allam lost his bid to change the name to assist in greater revenue possibilities in Asia and this added to a few other historical beefs with Hull City Council has led to the pantomime that is Hull City.
I read a snippet the other day regarding this issue, and one contributor had said that Allam departed Egypt because of the tyranny that was prevalent in that country at the time. The writer disagreed with this by saying that Allam had brought that tyranny with him in the way that he has treated the club and the fanbase as a whole.
Oh, and I agree with #2 Nashtbs. The fans are pathetic at times, wearing their Utd, RS, Chelsea shirts underneath the black and amber matchday attire.

It's very confusing if they aren't called tigers yet are referred to by other clubs as that?

Just very confusing to everyone!
