They use different materials in all sorts off kits. You have material then helps players not heat up and sweat as much. Kits that are fitted not lose to help players movement etc. Also why Nike and puma can charge more than say Umbro they are better quality. And better quality doesn’t necessarily mean appearance btw.

Moisture wicking fabrics have been around for many years. They're not exclusive to Nike or Adidas either.

You make a kit well and have it for 2 years instead of 1, you could probably charge a little more and probably get more customers buying the kit if was done well. This is why your seeing brands letting fans have an input.

Literally no club does this. I dare say no kit manufacturer nowadays would even sign up on the basis of 2 year kits. Shabite as it is, they sell loads more by changing every year, plenty of people will just blindly buy the newest kit - especially for kids.

Honestly I think the sponsors on the front ruin the kits anyway

Why people walk around with advertising on their chest beats me. You might be showing your affiliation but essentially you are a walking billboard for SportPesa, Umbro and Angry Birds, all of which most people who wear the kits don't give a damn about. In there somewhere is a little Everton badge on what is basically a blue T shirt

For full disclosure I have a few kits but the only club clothing I wear is this lightweight zip up jacket from a few years ago. Love it though

The older generation are out of touch, lack of awareness on how a decent kit manufacturer will increase sales and actually look better.

School kids who will be the main ones buying the shirt, will be more reluctant to bounce round in Hummel.

GwladysPhil reminded me about a time when this man wanted to spend £200 on a pair of jeans because of the brand. The jeans didn't fit him properly. Even his girlfriend was telling it didn't suit him. Still went ahead with his purchase.

The moral of the story is don't be a marketing victim like GwladysPhil.

That point makes little to no sense to what I said, good one weirdo.

Why can't we just vote the best kits from fan's designs and send the winners to brand or manufacturer?
I like most of them on the internet lol

They will buy an Everton shirt. That it, nobody buys an Everton shirt based on the maker, they buy an Everton shirt BECAUSE it's an Everton shirt.

School kids may very well mock others for having different gear, lets use the Hummel and Nike example, if you buy Hummel shoes they will mock you because you had the choice to get Nike. If you want an Everton kit then you have no choice but to buy it from the kit manufacturer. People who were going to buy the shirt will buy it regardless of who makes it.

This is the sort of silly remark that simply says you have no idea what you are talking about. Adidas and Nike are not new brands. They've been around for many decades. To say the older generation is out of touch with the younger generation with regards to sports branding is one of utter stupidity and misplaced arrogance.

I have a collection of expensive coats, jackets and jeans. A collection of limited edition trainers. My knowledge of fashion and sport brands outweighs your simplistic knowledge of Nike and Adidas. I can honestly say that Nike and Adidas stuff are just cheap tack sold with an expensive price tag.

And by the way I look better without having to wear tack from Nike and Adidas too.

Branding is absolute toot. Hummel/adidas/umbro/Nike/etc all sweat shop companies ripping off the gullible in pursuit of the unfathomable.

No one cares, apart from the simple dullards that are sucked into marketing hype. A fool and his money are soon parted.
