They look boss in my opinion. I just want to know how fans can make better kits using a simple app than multi million pound company’s.

Sadly I think it’s down to the fact that they pretty much all work off strict templates. Which means that personalising a kit is quite difficult.

The bigger the company, the more kit deals, the stricter the template becomes. Especially with the one year kit cycle. You finish one and you’re straight onto the next.

It’s been a while now but the old 2 year cycle meant more time could go into designing kits.

You make a kit well and have it for 2 years instead of 1, you could probably charge a little more and probably get more customers buying the kit if was done well. This is why your seeing brands letting fans have an input.

Their kits are generally very easy on the eye, but not a fan of the quality...they feel very cheap.

Yeah that’s true better Quality product cost more to make but I feel you would get more sales in the long term. For example every match day I see the younger generation with the latest kit, because that’s the world we live in younger generation want what’s new and latest. However older generations mainly talking adults of course have there kits from 5 season or more ago. Obviously because that’s the look they like. However if we had a better designed kit I feel that’s a lot of new customers right there. I’m not concerned how kits look personally it’s more about who pays the most for me. But I can see where other people come from, mainly adults having to buy a new kit every year which ain’t cheap but also the quality ain’t that good also.

Biggest thing stopping adults buying new kits atm is probably having Angry Birds on the arm. Stops me anyway.

They use different materials in all sorts off kits. You have material then helps players not heat up and sweat as much. Kits that are fitted not lose to help players movement etc. Also why Nike and puma can charge more than say Umbro they are better quality. And better quality doesn’t necessarily mean appearance btw.
