Thursday morning update - we have dodged a bullet in Duval and what happened could have been worse if it had hit another 100 miles north of where it did and followed the same path. Past the coastal areas, the inland path has a much lower concentration of people and structures.
The storm's path scrubbed through a lot of cattle pasture and groves instate but didn't go straight up I-4 like I had feared. We sit and await the surge. It's like having a turtle powered hitman stalking you. If anybody wants to come work, we could use some help cleaning up when this is gone. I'll fix you some fresh biscuits and sausage gravy for breakfast whether the power is on or not. We're ready.
Prayers for the affected downstate and for all assistance to all people as soon as humanly possible.
Gearheads and race fans alert - the storm went directly over Sebring. I just checked the map and confirmed it. Would have been infinitely worse had it been Daytona.
