In terms of the poll Emery shades it over Fonseca for me.
Both have been fairly steady in their performance as managers although Emery has the slightly better win percentage (53% v 51%) and has been at the helm of slightly bigger clubs.

Thought Emery did extremely well at Valencia in the midst of their financial problems with 6th/3rd/3rd/3rd place finishes in his time there.
Consistent level of performance also at Sevilla 5th/5th/6th + 3 Europa Leagues in a row.
He would be the ambitious choice.

Silva knows the league and is certainly in the running as we know he wanted to come to Goodison (confirmed by Watford as the reason for his performance tailing leading to his dismissal). Despite a poor end to his reign at Watford his overall win ratio as a manager is on par with the other two (52%).

Allardici is the only man to ever hold a 100% win ratio during his spell as England manager.
Can walk on gravy.
Will help secure a huge deal with Bisto.
In turn could help us to gain a sponsorship foothold in the lucrative worldwide condiments market - an untapped revenue stream - to boost income like naming rights for the new stadium e.g. Oxo Arena.
And ... erm ... it would cost £6m to get him to float away down the Mersey in his gravy boat.
So, a serious contender then.

I guess it comes down to balancing the options. It may be worth risking going for an unproven quality. On the other hand Moyes has a proven track record, has built good teams in the past on a budget and is very professional in his approach.

I would be intrigued to see what he could do here with more money.

He had all the money he could want at United and destroyed a Premiership winning team and ruined a legacy

That’s not true - Woodward made a mess of that window. Their master plan with Moyes was for him to continue the late-era Fergie penny-pinching.

It backfired spectacularly.

Dont mock mate, we may well be at war with Russia ourselves if Wiggy Trump and QuaiMaydo get their way!
The way people go on is mad - he got sacked at Porto after falling miles behind Benfica and was sitting in third place. His biggest career trophy is a Portuguese FA Cup

I’ll think you’ll find he had money to spend
The reason for Fergies penny pinching was that the world and his mother knew Fergie was going so
A) Fergie and the club realised it didn’t make sense to spend big money on players the new man might not fancy
B) Big name players didn’t know who their manager would eventually be and so were hesitant to sign for United
I’m sure Mata jumped for joy when Jose was announced

Nonsense - the Glazers had been asset stripping that club for years and using it to pay for their failing American businesses. It reached a tipping point with Moyes, another cheap option, which is why he got the boot and they got a big name in and allowed him to spend like mad.

We’ve got Sam again, get used to it boys & girls! This shower can’t agree on a replacement that’s willing to come here. My thoughts only, but I’m sure this going to be the cr@p we’re given.
