Allardyce has to stay for me. Given a mandate of keeping us up with the team in disarray, has taken us into the top ten when we were on a slide into the relegation zone. Has also looked canny bringing Tosun and Walcott into the fold becoming our best players overnight.
Give him the summer and build from there

Mate he's done a job, unspectacularly but he has done it and started a turn around. He was hired to take us above the Relegation fight and he met expectations.
Leave my bait ffs Goat.

WOW! top ten you say? Imagine that TOP TEN! Little old Everton in the top ten! Truly our cup runneth over!
Next season we might even be in the exalted top nine!
(Pity about the dire football like)

How short your memory is. We were utterly dire, bereft of belief and looked dead set to get dragged into a relegation battle. We're now 9th and secure. You can talk about top 10 all you want, but it's not like he's been in charge the entire season?
He's come in and fulfilled his brief of safety. Could it have been better? Absolutely. But the job he has done has been solid.
Deserves another go and the chance to shape a team.

Fan survey results will show if he's met expectations won't they mate, not what you or i say really :)

The boards expectations on appointing him are the expectations I'm talking about. Fans expectations are something entirely different and as this thread shows we have very short memories.

That doesn't begin to address the trauma I refer to. It only partly relates to team performance and table standings. The last two years from the beginning to the end has been one of an attack on the ethos of the club - how we've operated in the transfer market, how the players have lost their respect for the club and management, the rupturing of the relationship between majority owner and manager, the absence of any obvious central control of the governance of the club.

Imagine a quality manager with plenty of options including European football looking favourably on a job offer from a club wrestling with those inner contradictions!!!!!!

No chance.

Reality bites: we better hope we can attract a manager of Silvas ability while we still can.
We can get most managers mate, we will offer them big money and they will take it

Yes I forgot about Everton going 4 games in a row without a shot on target under.....o wait it was Sam, the reason we improved is because Coleman and Bains are back in the defence
