I seriously question anyone saying Richarlison was great here. We were dog poo throughout his tenure. We had a celebrated £50m Brazilian striker and I think he monopolised possession with his absolute greed and his play acting and gamesmanship had no place in the Royal Blue. He's showing now he's no superstar.

Branthwaite by comparison is an absolute Rolls Royce. To even mention the two in the same breadth is ludicrous
Come on, He hit double figures every season in a mediocre side thats not bad at all.

Dont get me wrong he used to annoy me but he was very effective for us, i think sometimes players suit clubs and i think that with Richarlison i wasnt convinced he would be a success anywhere else.

That was just to give him a payrise and keep him happy, if a real top club comes sniffing sadly he will be gone and i have no doubt that will happen in the summer.
Maybe, just maybe, a lot will depend on how we do this season. Personally, I see him as a future captain leading us into BMD

Each to their own - I just expected more both on the pitch and in terms of his conduct.

Love Richarlison more than any other in recent history but think even he wouldn't be a guaranteed starter over McNeil or Doucoure.

Branthwaite's fee on its own will pay for 4-5 good prospects going by Thelwell's recruitment, if it doesn't get sucked into whatever financial blackhole we're in.

One of the first names on the team sheet, playing for a manager who doesn't over coach him and lets him play his own game, next to a very good senior pro in the centre of defence - I think we'll get another season out of him, he seems pretty grounded and he's got a long career ahead of him. Then Chelsea, Newcastle, City, Arsenal and United will come calling and you just have to hope we get a good fee for him at that he leaves on good terms.

….certainly not.

i’d love to see him back but I was thinking about it earlier today and wondering who he’d replace. I suppose it would have to be DCL.

The evolution would be Richi back on the left side where he generally belongs and McNeill moved to number 10/central position. Not sure if that's ever going to happen under Dyche but if you want a team attempting to qualify for europe again that's the flexibility needed in final third. Then someone decent on the right and you have a nice 4-2-3-1.

I'm pretty sure Dwight played at times central at Burnley. We saw him easily getting away from Gallagher yesterday he has a deft acceleration and it was a quality throughball to DCL so now he's got his fitness fully up I think he's carrying on the form of the final two months where he stepped up big time.

Branthwaite needs to be kept but he obviously is very marketable currently and pretty much homegrown given he was signed for peanuts from Carlisle so a 40-50m sale would look very good on the future FFP balance sheets.

Can see Ancelotti telling Madrid to get Branthwaite. He chucked him in the side as a teenager didn’t he?
I’d be giving Branthwaite a pathway here, make him captain, another new contract at the end of this season if his progress continues. Aim to build around him for as long as we can.
I'd absolutely love to keep him long term but I'd be genuinely surprised if he's here next season.
