I can see City hammering Liverpool today.

why do the feel the need to mention how much 'class' their players have, and the manager has?

Because its class to mention how much CLASS they classy have. By the way, I was not dispareging to the word Byan, its Welsh like my mum. Merely saying the name Brian as in spelt B,R,I,A,N can breed strange characters, very odd in my experience.

In the guardian today, the first two articles on the right hand column are complimentary articles about Rodgers and Stirling.
They are bad blerts to claim that the media hate them

The reaction to the their draw against an under-performing City was the sort of praise given to teams the level of Fulham and Stoke.

If I was a Kopite I would feel embarrassed. Then again, as I am capable of feeling said emotion, I could never be a Kopite.

They deserved to beat City in fairness. Gifted them 2 goals and had a penalty denied othewise they could have come out as easy winners. also despite City missing aguero and choosing for some strange reason not to play Silva from the beginning they were also missing agger and Lucas went off injured.

Still can't see them beating arsenal next week. a game they should win if they want to finish top 4.

I don't like contributing to long threads about these lot, of course Rodgers is going to defend his £15m signing.

As for their start to the season, 5 goals conceded and 1 point. It's very early, as we know but have you seen their upcoming fixtures?

TBF he has done what he had to do, he inherited a side where the defense and keeper positions were already set up for him.
the midfield and strikers he has bascially kept gerrard lucas and suarez and replaced everyone else with allen, nahin, sterling borini. replace carroll with a decent finisher and they have a decent side on paper

whether they work or not is a different question, against west brom they were awful but against city at times you could see they were playing thew way rodgers wanted them to play. Could be a decent team or a really poor team, time will tell.

Brendon Rodgers

"When I talk to players, I promise them three things. The first is communication. I won't bluff players, I'll be totally honest and open with them. The second is that they'll become better, that I'll make sure the quality of work will improve them as players. And third I promise ambition. I want to be the best I possibly can. I grew from nothing into something through sheer ambition, work and determination."

The roar and the standing ovation from the home fans at Anfield tell us what an excellent first half that was for Liverpool. What a header it was as well from Martin Skrtel.

Hang on a minute, they hardly had a kick for the first 30 minutes? then they had a 10 minute spell which they scored from a set piece. Then it evened up till half time.

second half they played quite well and their second was a fantastic freekick, but that was never a freekick in million years. to say both city goals were lucky but theirs were fantastic isn't correct, at least city scored from open play.

Meh, let them think that a draw at home to a club who also spends exorbitant amounts of cash on transfers is good.

That's weird. When I think about it, all the Brian's I knew have been rather touched. I've never had a friendship with a Brian. Now, I could be wrong, probably wrong, but 'Brian' its a strange thing. I never trusted any Brian's near me. Brian's, always creeped me out, I dunno, I'm new, don't know what I can say here: but I would not have thought about it until u mentioned it. Yes, in hindsight and now foresight, no Brian's for me.

You may have issues. Did you have an 'uncle' called Brian when you were a kid.........
