Please tell everyone that you're not my multi, and welcome. War Damn Eagle. Happy to see someone here from the land of Lane Cake and Buffalo Rock. Those here have been apprised of the fact that we are indeed the Auburn of the Prem and that lot across the park are Alabama. They are somewhere in their mid Gene Stallings period currently. Can't wait till they hire their Mike Price. The dictotomy of life will be instantly familiar to an Alabaman.1. From the Everton "hotbed" of Montgomery, Alabama, which I think has 3 other Everton fans. Lost one when the parish priest moved on, and our high school varsity boys coach just took a new job this week...luckily I recruited a new one last year and another this summer, so there is still 3 of us!
I was introduced to the sport by playing as a kid in the 70's when I lived overseas, and both daughters have played thru high school, and have been a ref for 15 years (up to U-19) but for some reason never really enjoyed on TV, or cared for EPL until until 5-6 years ago. Maybe just lack of TV coverage in US.
2. Google and general internetting, seeing articles, twitter etc...
3. Started following Everton in 2013, Martinez's first season, so I am a bit of a newbie compared to y'all. I got into FIFA 13 or 14 don't remember, and eventually began trying to find a team I liked. That became Everton for several reason - none of which involved Tim Howard actually. I liked the colors, I liked the "blue collar" culture, not a flashy team that bought success, not a bandwagon team that most Americans latch on to etc...And the more I learned and watched, the more hooked I became. Have hardly missed a match since - either via TV or online. My Saturday/Sunday morning routine is now "Eggs and Everton" - up to watch kickoff (usually with a hangover) at 9am, 6am or 1130am if I am lucky.
4. I'll skip this, I'm not qualified after 5ish years
5. Tom Davies. Not the best, but I like the way the kids plays, and hopefully he kicks on this year after a disappointing year. I gave my Ross Barkley jersey to my youngest daughter who is a Chelsea fan. #parentalfailure
6. Pineapple on Pizza...well, you can put socks on your rooster or put beans in your tea if that's your thing - but keep the fruit off my pizza. And out of my beer.
7. Misc - Avid follower of USMNT (shock) and Auburn University Football/basketball and somewhat baseball. NASCAR is also good reason to drink beer on Sundays. Trace family tree back to when 3 brothers left Bridport in the late mid-1700's, so I'm British-ish
If the pineapple has been sitting in vodka, my answer could be different....

I also live in Montgomery and support the Blues...you said your parish priest? Are you Catholic? I am and an alumni of Montgomery Catholic. Be mighty weird if you were. Small world indeed and very rare breed to be Everton, Catholic and live in the "South".1. From the Everton "hotbed" of Montgomery, Alabama, which I think has 3 other Everton fans. Haha, I have used this name online for almost 20 years, because it's always available. Most people don't use the "silent h". Go figure
The defence rests m'lord.
