I also live in Montgomery and support the Blues...you said your parish priest? Are you Catholic? I am and an alumni of Montgomery Catholic. Be mighty weird if you were. Small world indeed and very rare breed to be Everton, Catholic and live in the "South".
Ghloat imoGloat?
Fantastic! I was class of 08, but have 6 siblings one which graduated in 2014 so she probably knew your daughter. Crazy. No no, we had a parish priest here who was an Everton fan! I'm Methodist myself, but my wife and kids are Catholic! And MCPS...yeah wife is c/o '87 and both daughters went to/go to and played/play at MCPS (2012-2016 and 2016-2019).
Small world indeed

Well if you ever decide to watch a game somewhere just let me know!
This is truly a challenge, my girlfriend lives in Huntsville and they have some 10am places. As soon as I find a place in Montgomery open at 9am on a Saturday or Sunday that sells beer...lol

Here though I usually just start in the living room with a Guinness. Long Saturdays once College Football kicks off! I've tried to get some local places to open that early but they haven't listened dammit.
Jealous of that! That is the stuff of legend!Either last year or the year before, Auburn played at 1130 and Everton at 9, I was chewing up data streaming the Everton game, doing fireball shots for breakfast at our tailgate...getting too old for that..not!
What's really funny is I go to both Talladega races each year, there is a group of about 30 us of in 7-8 campsite in the infield that have been camping together for a couple years - from VA, TX, TN, NC, GA, MO, NY, Canada... all over. We have TV's, RV's (tent for me), but over the years, my buddy just leaves the key for me on Saturday/Sunday mornings, and I get up set everything up and tune in the EPL games. Every year a couple more people from the surrounding campsites wander over to watch the games. It's funny, as our crew starts getting up and struggling through hangovers, there is a handful of us up drinking at 9am watching the EPL, right in the middle of the infield at Talladega, they just shake their heads....
Fireball at 9am would be a long, or short day indeed.
Or both....to be fair, in the infield, we don't do Fireball that early really. "Talladega Mouthwash" is preferred (Rumpleminz). Nothing kicks off a footy morning like 100 proof mouthwash before breakfast....
Welcome.
