Brendan Rodgers has done one thing which other managers mentioned here weren't able to do it - create a possession based team and used this possession not only as an attacking tool, but also defensive. Spain NT and a few old Brasil NT as well are masters of it, very difficult to achieve and with players he have in his disposal, shows he's a decent manager. Possibly next season teams will find a way to attack them with a better results, but unlike Halloway (whom I rate) and Martines (not so high on him) he looks like someone who knows how to build a team from the back... and doing it in different way than 10 players behind the ball and hoof from central defenders.
Stinger gets it.
