15% of the worlds internet users are browsing the web with Internet Explorer 6. Even though 7 has been out for a couple of years, and IE8 is out now.

Basically PC users are dinosoars. They are not innovators, they are sheep.

That is the end of the discussion. :)

again i think more people have heard of microsoft than apple.. although i think its becoming a stupid debate here !!!

my comment on the name wasnt about apple or windows 7 as one is a company and one is a product !!

so because the pc's market share is so big, and that their is a small minority who dont have a clue how to allow windows update to install IE8 means that mac is better?? yeah ok ... JOG ON lol !!

like both the mac and pc, if anyone who knew their [Poor language removed] they would use firefox anyway (or alternatives like flock)

Well my system is called an Apple Mac, that is the product. The line is the iMac.

It's not a stupid debate Jon, I am basically talking from both sides of the fence. I know there more expensive, but they are a niche product. Like the iPhone is, if your just a texter then get a normal phone, but for me it helps my productivity and keep on top of my business when I am away from my office.

No that's not the case at all. My god, how blinkered are you?

Quick update it's actually 12% on IE6, 15% on IE7, 12% on IE8 and 45% on Firefox - which is cross browser.

Basically saying is that people who use PC's are not interested so much in keeping their systems up to date, they would prefer to use a browser that is broken beyond belief, calculates sizes of boxes wrong. Can't display transparent graphics, renders fonts awful.

All I care about is what is easier to use. I'm not a web developer so I don't care about compatibility, that's the web developers problem. I use both I.E. and Firefox. I can't really tell any difference between them.

for the 2nd time now, my comment was aimed at the software product

that is...

windows 7 >>>> snow leopard

and their is many other phones out their than the iphone, that can do just as much and many other alternative things

Well one is faster and performs better. Renders pages better, has nicer looking fonts. Although the way Firefox renders buttons is horrible.

It's all about the experience, but then if your not arsed about any of that, then just as simpler for you to use a text based browser.

But some people like looking at refined products.
