Apart from Gaming, Apple can do what a PC does just the same. It's just more expensive, but that's because the hardware is better, lasts longer, is more versatile, better designed. etc.......

To be honest though Jon some of your comments were getting lost in the noise.

Interesting question then, if Apple released a consumer system for say £500 would you buy it?

would you be gutted if you bought a porsche and it performed the same a ford focus? i know i would.. even thought its gorgeous !!!

your apple may do everything you want it to, but its certainly no greyhound in the market !!

i agree the apple in whole is better designed, but only for what you require. As a pc user i have a very large case capable of continuous upgrading etc, this is not the case with an imac ! so different needs etc.

would i buy an apple for £500. Not sure. more the fact im not keen on the OS than anything. and yes this is simply because i use windows 12 hours a day !!

woudnt be against trying it though, might not buy a new one but 2nd hand

have an apple logo anyway, make you sleep better ;)

and if your using safari, maybe it will have some tits and a minge too ;) unfortunetly us poor pc users cant see it though
 
First of all, for all the crap I give Ghost because he is SO an Apple fanboy, they do make a lean OS. Fact of the matter is there isn't a worry so much for viruses and malware as there isn't a market for them. If Snow Leopard became the best selling OS in the country and was outnumbering Windows machines 8 to 1, then Snow Leopard would be the OS plagued by malware. It has nothing to do with quality coding......it is a userbase issue.

Apple have software for the PC.....iTunes. But it has sadly become bloatware......everytime it wants to update, it tries installing all of Apples crap. They are as bad as anyone when it comes down to it.

Microsoft, at least, admit they want to take over the world. Apple do too, but would never admit it.

As for phones, Android is the bomb.....if you guys think the Hero is good....wait until you see the HTC Leo (aka the Touch HD2) in action running.....wait for it...WinMo 6.5....or try a Blackberry if you really want to do the corporate thing.

Anyhoo...have a look at the new Macbook getting taken apart...MacBook strips off its polycarbonate unibody shell for the expected teardown

Not sure I agree with all of that.

But enough of the Mac bashing. I choose a Mac because it's a better fit for my productivity and vocation. I don't mind paying more because I feel I get a better system.

Windows installs things you don't need. It's not slim, it's not user friendly. There are so many different options that the user (not computer savvy) can change and mess about with.

Trouble is Microsoft are not original, they do things everyone else has already done. Instead of trying to take over the world, and spending oodles of cash on crap adverts, why don't they put more money into R&D?

I'm a PC, what your a personal computer. My Apple then is a Personal Computer also.
