If we are expecting him to drive the team forward to produce more goals, he is not that player. He does well in helping the back 4. The other 2 mids need to play further up to produce more offense. If Garner comes in, I think he comes in for Onana. If we want to keep Iwobi and Onana on the pitch with Garner, Iwobi needs to replace Gordon or Gray.

Possibly. If we could get more from our front 3, I think it would be fine but because our front 3 are pretty toothless, we may have to sacrifice one of them.

Don’t think there is a great connect between our midfield three and front three mate, it’s not that any of them are necessarily bad players, it’s just not gelling. Both aren’t supporting each other and you could argueably throw the full back in there to.

I fear that if we take him out of the team then we will quickly realise he isn't out of his depth

Don’t think he’s been as bad as a lot are suggesting. Don’t think he’s our problem. Still gets in the right positions, intercepts, makes tackles - was never amazing on the ball and still isn’t.

To be honest none of are midfield look comfortable in the system getting played .What are there roles exactly?
They look all over the place at the moment for whole chucks of the game.

Needs to be rested, he's played a lot of games, between his club and country in the past few weeks, hardly ideal for a 33 year old.

I think he had a better game , but needs more help around him. But he isn't the player he was and I think Garner should get the nod ahead of him now. Maybe bring him on if we need to close out a game maybe. Squad player now in my eyes.

It was absolutely inevitable. A player who’s greatest qualities were getting around the pitch, close to players and all around energy. Then brining him back at 33 expecting the same in an even faster league
