He looks like a 33 year old who’s been out of the Prem for 3 years at the moment.

It's almost as if that's exactly what he is, isn't it. Not exactly sure what people were expecting tbh, and it's a two year deal we've given him if I recall correctly.

As somebody on a podcast said, if he hadn't have previously played for us, would we have ever looked to do a deal for a 33 year old midfielder. Methinks not.

I honestly don't understand the flap about him. He's still very good at what he does and sound never be relied upon for creativity.

Unfortunately though, because the rest of the team has zero creative capabilities, he has to try and do that as well.
