I haven’t got a clue and to be honest I’m not the slightest interest in stats for the simple reason they can be very misleading, I use my eyes, they tell me a lot more than stats: by the way Gana has got plenty of good points but at his age if we can get £35M or close to that figure I think it is very good business,providing we get a good replacement.

Yes you could be right, but I’m saying if he does sell him it will be because we are getting Avery good price for him, and he definitely won’t be selling him unless he has got a replacement lined up.

Aaron Mooy ain't a replacement for Gana.

BUT I'd have him a squad player is we sign Gomes. Need someone who's willing to be back up.

Your "new favourite thing" is OTHER BLOKES slagging Gana off? Have you had time to digest the sense of this statement? It sounds like you're agreeing with me: "Gana is brilliant when his CM partner can distribute the ball for him". This is like saying a centre back is brilliant when his partner can tackle for him. The ball-winning midfielder is no longer necessary. Man City play with Silva and Silva in centre mid and don't seem to be put out by it at all. It's not as though Fernandinho is flying around the pitch winning the ball back. It's a matter of opinion, but Mooy is a good player, much better on the ball than Gana, who I've never liked.

Obviously I'd rather sign Veratti or Harry Winks, but I can't think of any tried and proven players that could step right in and perform in the middle for us. I remember the days when Arteta used to run the show in there, but we haven't had that in a while, which is basically what wins you games. I do agree with efcbluearmy and his comments around Gomes. Perhaps we are seeing why Barcelona were so willing to let him go. His first few games he was like a Rolls Royce; recently he's been playing like Sid's Robin Reliant.
