They thrive on so-called adversity. Positive results leave them with little or nothing much to complain about and it probably irks them.

This. At the bare minimum, the modern FOOTBALL PLAYER let alone modern midfielder should be able to hit a man from 10 yards. I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say Gana can not do this. .

The reason he hasn't been sold for a massive profit is that he can't be sold for a massive profit. To put it another way, imagine you were a fan of another club and you heard Gana was on the verge of signing. Would you really be excited about that?

And that is exactly what it is. It's a total myth. Every footballer is capable of a bad pass, the more passes you play in a game there is a likelihood of more going astray, I honestly don't get how people cant grasp that. His passing is fine.

Until we somehow find the lovechild of Kante and Pirlo to grace an Everton shirt, I am happy to support Gana. Barely breaks a sweat mopping up things all over the midfield.

He's very limited, but he is excellent at what he does well. One of those sort of midfielders you'd hate playing against.

Fun times watching the narrative on him change over time.

The problem is, it´s difficult to figure out who the truly worst culprits are in this team. You go in the Sigurdsson thread and you´ll people blaming the other players, likewise in here for Gueye. I´m probably going with their all as bad as each other.

The fact is he's been one of our more consistent players but I've said in the past that he's a borderline (don't even think that's a debate now) luxury player because of his deficiencies in areas other than being a disruption for the opposition...which he's generally been very good at.
