I don’t get the ‘we can’t deny him a move’ stuff tbh. Of course we could. He’s under contract.
And yes, he played well from Feb onwards but he still missed a game when he was busy crying about his move being denied, and he was clearly going to agitate for a move this summer.

In terms of loyalty Baines and Jags are miles ahead.

He was injured. He missed two games because of it.

The annoying thing about this transfer is that it could badly affect our team. PSG, it won’t affect them in the slightest. They will still win the French league at a canter but bomb in the Champions league. Gueye isn’t at the level to help them there.

Sad he is going, he's been a cracking player for us he is exceptional at certain things such as pressing, tackling and intercepting and average at others. But he has been a live wire for us and one of the few bargains Walsh bought. He has behaved impeccably even going up a level at the end of last season after he was denied a move. I wish him well but worry how we are going to replace him. I suspect we will have to play a different way.
