Unsure on this one, if you tell me now that he is exactly the same as he was with us or even only a slight dip in performance then it would be a massive yes.
I suppose it would be worth the risk to get him in and concentrate on permanent solutions in other areas.
His views are his views, he is obviously allowed to have these opinion. I, for one, am not going to force anybody to have the same opinion as me, I will debate with them as to why I think they are wrong but he is still allowed to have those views. On a personal level I have recently had a run in with some family members about being homophobic and they are due to meet my future brother in law and his husband (along with maybe a couple of my fiancées LGBTQ+ friends, at our wedding, next year. They are welcome to their views and I still love them but my sister is going to warn them strongly that if they say anything then it might ruin the wedding, etc. So, in conclusion, his beliefs and opinions should not necessarily come into it, if he doesn't go around shouting abuse at everybody, upsetting the applecart then there should be no issues.
I would not be surprised if there were other bigots in our squad but unless they use their bigotry in an aggressive and abusive way then so be it, I definitely 100% do not agree with it but they are allowed to have an opinion, regardless of how backward it is.
