Watched two of Chelsea's preseason games mate, he really really doesn't suit a 'tuchel' two man Midfield where the onus is both of them acting like a pivot it looks like he's scared to go forward and kills what actually makes him look a great prospect.
A two men midfield that presses high with almost one if the cb stepping up behind them - think he could work in that setup or as in a 5-2-3 with really narrow 'wide players,' in that role too or in any 3 man mid.
Just not in a two where the onus is on being disciplined and holding your defensive position at the expense of other parts of your game.
In short I'd have him like a shot, him and Gueye in a 2 man midfield would be risky but the workrate and pressing they both bring would cause nightmares to play through or around.

Be interesting assuming he's signed by say weds, if lampard puts him straight in against Chelsea. If he's fit he should probably play as we have a better chance, but what does that do to the confidence of the others in the squad? Davies and Allan been working hard to get fit during pre season after injury.....

Him as Allan a midfield 2 not much creativity but both are outstanding at stopping attacks
He was, and still is, one of the craziest underrated midfielders in all of Europe.

Why is it taking so long.
It'll likely take a knock although balance that out with the needs of the team. Gana is still likely a far superior player than Davies and Allan is struggling.
