Having Gana & Onana each do half a Carsley impression can’t be the way.

Want to see Onana stay at 6 & Garner playing consistently alongside him & if it needs work that’s why we employ bloody coaches.

It's appropriate that his name rhymes with giving the ball away.
I called him Idrissa Gona Giveitauey during his 1st spell. But apparently i was wrong and he was the best blah blah in the league.

Him and Doucore were appaling on sunday. Onana was just massively disappointing. Between the 3 of them, its 1 of weakest mids in the league.

Im hoping we can finally settle on a midfield of Garner, Onana, McNeil, Harrison, and a combination of Danjuma, Beto, DCL and maybe even Dele for the 2 forward places.

Onana 1st needs to start taking more responsibility and imposing himself on games. We have far too many passive players.

The problem isn't Gana, in a vacuum.

The problem is you absolutely cannot play Doucoure, Onana and Gana together. They are more or less too similar. We need balance in the midfield.

For me, I'd rather give Onana and Gana a go and leave Doucoure out for someone like Garner. Onana has shown he can occasionally make a pass forward - and let Gana do what he does in front of the back 4. Doucs does nothing in attack except for sometimes being in right positions to score goals, but his buildup play is shocking

For me he only has two functions at this point:

- As an 'extra' DM when we're gonna be on the back foot (which is most of the time anyway) or..
- As a more advanced 'number 8' operating as the pivot in the oppos final third (like he does for Senegal) in games where we're controlling the possession/doing most of the attacking.

Unless it's going to be one of these two specific roles then he should be on the bench.

Ahhh it's Gana's turn today to be carp?!! Why don't we just say the whole teams a steaming pile of horse manure then we'd not waste each others time moaning about who's fault it is this week!!

Won't it be fun when we are in administration by the end of the year / season!!!

who's fault will it be then!

Let’s face it, they all are. If this wasn’t being discussed we wouldn’t have anything to talk about.

He can't play there because he absolutely cannot shoot.

He was one of only 14 players in the PL in 2022-23 with 15 or more shots and zero goals to show for it.

Anyone who plays in that spot will get the ball in enough space to shoot and you have to be able to do it, even if to just give the defenders something to think about. How scared are you if you're the opposition?
