McCarthy was 13m three years ago when actual 5m players were going for 5m (think of Ibe, back then at the same age he'd have gone for nowhere near 15m).

We paid half of the McCarthy fee for Gueye, and transfers fees have since exploded through the roof.

I don't think it's too outrageous to suggest if he continues this form he could be talked of as a 30/40m player this time next year.

yes he was a walsh signing, in the everton magizine he actually talks about how he told koeman we should go for him because of what he offers.

This guy and the emerging Holgate have made me forget about the cry-ass Stones and then some.

They have both been magnificent so far and more importantly are focused on doing their best for the club.

What a steal for £7m.
