When you know that the player will go on International duty, then you have to Accept it when it happens. If you dont like it, then you shoildnt have signed the player in the first place.

I am not as opposed to international football as some, but it does need to be severely cut back.
16 team World Cup with the top teams from the regional competitions going through, e.g. finalists from African Cup of nations, top three from Europeans Nations etc.
4/5 international games per year, no friendlies.

A week in Africa and all sense of tactical awareness drains out of them, it's like the Martinez years on fast forward. At the end of the group stages it's just packs of them charging around the field after the ball like schoolkids.
Fred West had a better defence that most of the teams out there.
